    Oil Light Issue

Howsit Gents.. For some Odd reason my Oil light keeps Flashin on and off.
It Happens only when i slow down jus before completely stopping. While driving everything is fine.

Any idea what could be the problem ? (i checked Oil level and its full, car doesnt burn oil)
Its a B18 Vtec. . . Oh ya and when i did the Vtec conversion i used the std B18 oil pump, Is that fine or is it necessary to use the B16 Oil pump ?

Dont take cahnces with this bro

Get a mechanical guage test dont on the oil pressure just to rule out a failing oil pump.
There is a possibility its a shorting wire at the oil sensor or a faulty oil sensor.
Did you use the correct oil pickup?

Whats the correct method of doing this Oil Pressure test ?
Using Standard B18 Oil Pump and Oil pickup

basically you remove oil sensor and scre in a mechanical gauge to measure oil pressure at varyuing rpm.
If you havent at least seen it done, I wouldnt advise you try it, can be dangerous.

do a visaul check over all the wiring to the oil sensor.
check that the wire is not touching ground anywhere, or capable of...

if its flashing I would think oil sensor short or faulty or the wiring to/from the sensor.
    I'm no expert

generally when an oil light comes on the pressure is extremely low and damage is already done, assuming u havent heard a change in engine noise (rattling) id assume wiring or oil pressure sending unit, but.. wouldnt risk it.. ive ran bearings before its not fun
    93 EG Ballade 150 carb -> D16z6 high comp -> B18C5
Ex: 98 EK Ballade Vtec B16
    Ex: 97 EK Ballade 160i D16

Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

    not always so.

for examply after an oil change...
Untill the oil system is completely filled, the oil light can take a good few seconds to switch off.
